Beijing (VNA) – Chinese media outlets such as the Xinhua News Agency, China Central Television (CCTV), People’s Daily, and Global Times have covered the meeting between Chinese President Xi Jinping and Vietnamese Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh, which took place within the framework of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) Summit 2025 in Tianjin on August 31.
They reported that at the meeting, President Xi noted during his state visit to Vietnam in April, the two sides had reached important common perceptions on advancing the building of a China – Vietnam community with a shared future in the new situation. He emphasised the need for their ministries, sectors, and localities to step up implementation and promote the China – Vietnam Comprehensive Strategic Cooperative Partnership to yield more substantive results.
On this occasion, the top Chinese leader extended congratulations on the 80th anniversary of the establishment of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, and affirmed that China supports Vietnam in successfully organising the 14th National Congress of the Communist Party of Vietnam. He also expressed his wish to increase sharing state governance experience, maintain high-level exchanges, and fostering strategic cooperation between the two countries.
