Vietnam's vaccine maker AVAC Vietnam Joint Stock Company (AVAC) will export 150,000 doses of African swine fever vaccine to the Philippines on August 29, said AVAC General Director Nguyen Van Diep.

Many newspapers and websites in the Republic of Korea such as Newsis and Nnews have highlighted Vietnam’s first-ever export of vaccines against African swine fever, saying this event has drawn attention of the global pharmaceutical and biotechnological industries.

Vietnam will contribute to preventing a disease that is very destructive to livestock, said the French daily newspaper Le Figaro regarding the Southeast Asian nation’s announcement of becoming the first in the world to successfully research and produce an African swine fever vaccine and license it for commercial circulation.
