Agriculture ministry launches public services portal

The Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development on March 15 launched its public services portal at //dvc.mard.gov.vn with a view to providing almost public services of the level 3 and 4.

Hanoi (VNA) – The Ministryof Agriculture and Rural Development on March 15 launched its public servicesportal at //dvc.mard.gov.vn with aview to providing the people and businesses with almost public services of thelevel 3 and 4 between now and the year-end.

The level 3 services allow applicantsto fill in and submit the forms online while the level 4 ones enable them tonot only submit required forms but also make payments and receive resultsonline.

Speaking at the event, DeputyMinister Ha Cong Tuan said the move complies with the Prime Minister’s Decision08 and the Government’s Resolution 36a/NQ-CP on e-government.

He asked the ministry’s units tocomplete the review and standardise administrative procedures in the firstquarter this year, requiring the Plant Protection Department and the Departmentof Livestock Production to take the lead in the effort.

Nguyen Xuan Duong, deputy head of theDepartment of Livestock Production, said since 2016, the department has receivedand handled nearly 40,000 documents via online public services and customsone-stop shop at the level 4, helping firms save nearly 70 billion VND and halfof time.

This year, the ministry will speed uponline administrative procedures nationwide regarding animal and plantquarantine, vet hygiene inspection, agricultural materials management and foodsafety.-VNA
