The second ASEAN Film Festival, held in China’s Hong Kong Special Administrative Region from September 5 to 28, features more than 20 films showcasing the unique cultures of ASEAN countries, with the Vietnamese movie “Mat Biec” (Dreamy Eyes) by director Victor Vu leaving a strong impression on international audiences.

“Mat biec” (Dreamy Eyes), a movie by Victor Vu, has been screened in South Africa during the ASEAN Film Festival in the African country.

Two Vietnamese films – “Yellow Flowers on Green Grass” and “Yen’s Life” – are competing in the first ASEAN Film Festival in Hong Kong (China).

A Vietnamese film entitled “Cuoc Doi cua Yen” (Yen’s Life) directed by Dinh Tuan Vu will be screened during the fifth ASEAN film festival in the Prague, the Czech Republic.

The Vietnamese film Dam me (Passion), directed by Phi Tien Son, was screened in Prague , the Czech Republic on September 12, wrapping up the five-day fourth ASEAN film festival there.

Canh Dong Bat Tan (The Floating Lives) was screened at the United Nations headquarters in Geneva, Switzerland, on September 11, within the framework of the ASEAN Film Festival.

Dam me (Passion), directed by Phi Tien Son, will be on screen at the upcoming fourth ASEAN film festival in Prague, as heard during a press conference held in the Czech Republic on August 26.
