Bac Lieu sets up hi-tech shrimp farming area

Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc has issued a decision on the establishment and operational regulations of a high technology agriculture area specialised in shrimp development in the Mekong Delta province of Bac Lieu.

Hanoi (VNA) – PrimeMinister Nguyen Xuan Phuc has issued a decision on the establishment and operationalregulations of a high technology agriculture area specialised in shrimp developmentin the Mekong Delta province of Bac Lieu.

The area, run by the Bac LieuPeople’s Committee, covers 418.91 hectares  in Hiep Thanh commune, Bac Lieu city.

It will focus on applying anddeveloping advanced technology in shrimp farming from production of varietiesof shrimp to the farming process, food, shrimp processing, storing and transferringtechnology serving the shrimp sector of the province, Ca Mau peninsular, the MekongDelta region and the country.

The area will also host research,experiments with hi-tech shrimp farming models, and the use of high technology inthe shrimp sector.

At the same time, the area will providetraining of human resources for Vietnam’s shrimp sector. It will serve as avenue for events and exhibitions on technology, attracting human resources and investmentfor the sector.

It will enjoy preferential policiesin line with legal regulations on science and technology. The Government willalso encourage science-technology organisations to perform research in the area.-VNA

🧔 Vietnam launches six 4.0 technology training and talent networks

The networks bring together universities, research institutes and domestic and foreign businesses. 🃏 PM chairs national committee's meeting on semiconductor development

Vietnam has issued many key policies to support semiconductor development, notably the Politburo’s Resolution 57 on science, technology, innovation, and digital transformation. Other initiatives include the Semiconductor Industry Development Strategy to 2030, with a vision to 2050, and the Human Resources Development Programme for the Semiconductor Industry.
