AVANEST Vietnam Nutrition JSC exported the first batch of bird’s nests to China through the Bac Luan II bridge border gate in Mong Cai city, the northern province of Quang Ninh on November 20.

Vietnam expects its agricultural export value to China to increase sharply this year, as China agreed to review regulations permitting official exports of poultry meat from Vietnam to this market.

The first batch of Vietnamese bird's nests has smoothly gone through customs at the Youyi Guan international border gate in Pingxiang city, the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region of China, to enter China, according to Chinese media.

Vietnamese bird's nests see great potential for export to Chinese market as people in China and Chinese communities in other countries across the world spend about 5 billion USD on bird’s nests and products made from them.

The leader of the General Administration of Customs of China has signed a protocol on the import of bird's nests and sweet potatoes from Vietnam, the Vietnamese Embassy in China has informed the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development (MARD).
