Hanoi (VNA) – Lawmakers voted to approve the appointment of Deputy Prime Ministers and other Cabinet members🌞 in their plenary session on July 28 during the 14th Na💝tional Assembly’s first session.

In the morning session chaired by NA Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan, they heard a report presented by NA General Secretary Nguyen Hanh Phuc on the results of group discussion on the approval of the proposed appointment of members of the Government. Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc delivered a report on acquiring NA deputies’ feedback on the work. The deputies had a secret ballot to ratify the PM’s proposal on the appointment of Deputy PMs, ministers and other members of the Government.
They then approved a resolution on ratifying the PM’s proposal on the appointment. The legislature also heard and adopted a list of the vice chairmen and members of the NA’s National Defence and Security Council presented by President Tran Dai Quang. It voted and approved a resolution on the ratification of the President’s proposed list. In the afternoon session chaired by NA Vice Chairman Phung Quoc Hien, Finance Minister Dinh Tien Dung delivered a report on the audit of the 2014 State budget. The legislature also heard a report on the results of auditing the State budget for 2014 presented by State Auditor General Ho Duc Phoc and a report on the verification of State budget audit in 2014 delivered by head of the NA Committee for Finance and Budget Nguyen Duc Hai.
The audit of the 2014 State budget was discussed by the legislative body. The NA also approved resolutions related to the establishment of its thematic supervisory delegations. On July 29, the legislature is expected to adopt the resolution on the audit of the 2014 State budget. It will also discuss the implementation of socio-economic development and state budget plans in the first half of 2016, as well as measures to implement plans in the second half. The deputies are expected to vote on a resolution adjusting the 2016 law and ordinance making programme and the law and ordinance making programme for 2017.
