The construction of bridges spanning the Can Tho river contributes to enhancing the urban landscape, laying the foundation for economic development, and creating architectural and cultural highlights for Can Tho city.

Besides its geographic significance as a vital transport hub linking provinces in the Mekong Delta region, Can Tho is often called a “city of rivers” as it spans approximately 65 km along the Hau River with an intricate network of waterways. Recognised as one of five centrally governed cities since 2004, Can Tho is a youthful, dynamic urban centre on the process of modernisation.

The final sections of the Tran Hoang Na bridge spanning Can Tho River in the Mekong Delta city of Can Tho were linked on August 26 after almost three years of construction.
