A cooperation agreement between the offices of the Vietnamese National Assembly (NA) and Russian Federal Assembly’s State Duma (lower house) was signed by their chairpersons at their meeting in Moscow on September 10 (local time), as part of the ongoing official visit to Russia by NA Chairman Tran Thanh Man.

Chairman of the State Duma of Russia Vyacheslav Volodin has sent a letter of congratulations to Tran Thanh Man on his election as Chairman of the Vietnamese National Assembly (NA) at the 7th session of the 15th NA.

A delegation of the Vietnamese National Assembly joined nearly 800 parliamentarians and experts from over 130 countries and territories at the second international forum on the “Development of Parliamentarism” that opened in Moscow on July 1.

Chairman of the State Duma of Russia Vyacheslav Volodin appreciated the official visit by General Secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam Nguyen Phu Trong, saying that it will contribute greatly to deepening the Russia-Vietnam comprehensive strategic partnership, of which parliamentary ties is an important part.
