Hanoi (VNA) – Deputy Prime Ministerဣ Truong Hoa Binh received S🌳ingaporeanAmbassador to Vietnam Catherine Wong Siow Ping in Hanoi on July 6, expressinghis hope that she will continue to contribute to the bilateral relations.

Hailingthe Vietnam-Singapore strategic partnership, the Deputy PM said that trust andunderstanding have been built through recent visits from the two countries’leaders. Theofficial also noted that the Vietnam trip of Singapore’s Prime Minister LeeHsien Loong in March boosted economy-trade, banking, infrastructure andpeople-to-people exchange, as did the visit of Khaw Boon Wan, Chairman of thePeople’s Action Party of Singapore. Vietnam’sagencies have worked with Singaporean partners to realise commitments madeduring those visits, he added. For her part, Ambassador CatherineWong Siow Ping said Singapore is willing to support Vietnam, especially in thecountries’ prioritised cooperation fields. On his upcoming official visit toSingapore, Deputy PM Binh said he will discuss measures to enhance political,defence, security and judicial cooperation with Singapore’s leaders, along withpromoting dialogue mechanisms, pirate countermeasures and search and rescue.

The two countries will seek to expandcooperation in cyber security, intelligence and legal officer training.-VNA
