Vietnam’s economic landscape in 2024 is marked by a strong influx of foreign direct investment (FDI). Beyond the impressive figures, the quality of investment is improving as the country becomes a hub for leading global technology corporations.

Total registered foreign direct investment into Vietnam, including new and additional investments, and capital contributions via share purchases, reached 31.4 billion USD in the first 11 months of 2024.

Vietnam's economic strength is reflected in controlled macroeconomic indicators, and the country has increasingly affirmed and strengthened its important role in the supply chain diversification strategy of multinational corporations. 2024 will be the year for foreign investors to seize opportunities and implement high-tech foreign direct investment projects in Vietnam.

Vietnam attracted 26.16 billion USD in foreign direct investment in the first nine months of this year, up 3.1% compared to the same period last year.

Total FDI capital poured into new and existing projects and used to contribute capital and buy shares in domestic companies reached 9.9 billion USD in Jan-May, down 18.3 percent year on year.
