Green development, energy transition, and greenhouse gas emission reduction are inevitable, irreversible trends that Vietnam must take part in. They are also an opportunity to develop and restructure the economy in a green, clean and sustainable direction.

Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People’s Committee Nguyen Thanh Phong has expressed his hope that the city and Japan’s Nagano prefecture will have more specific cooperation programmes in the time ahead.

Ho Chi Minh City hopes that the International Finance Corporation (IFC) will continue to help the city deal with challenges in urban transport, infrastructure construction and waste treatment, thus ensuring sustainable development, a local official said on August 12.

Environmentally friendly technologies will be showcased at Taiwan Expo 2017 at the Saigon Exhibition and Convention Centre in district 7 from July 26-28.
