Deputy DDC Director-General Dr. Anek Mungomklang added that 84% of motorcyclists hospitalised between 2020 and 2024 were not wearing helmets at the time of the accident. He emphasised that the number of motorcyclists not wearing helmets was eight times higher than those who did.

Honda Vietnam will present 620,000 helmets to first and second graders in Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City and Can Tho during the 2022-2023 academic year, the company’s representative said in an announcement ceremony held in Hanoi on January 11.

A programme improving the frequency of helmet wearing amongst children was launched in the central province of Binh Dinh on December 20.
