Resolution 59 marks a historic turning point in Vietnam’s international integration process, identifying integration as a strategic motivation for the nation to confidently enter a new era.

Without internal strengths fully brought into play, a country is unable to achieve fast and sustainable development, and the most important internal strength of a country is its people, an expert has said.

The National Culture Conference aims to look into the outcomes of the cultural and human development in Vietnam after 35 years since the “Doi moi” (Renewal) period began. It will also identify the major orientations and focal tasks for the cultural sector in the time ahead.

Deeper integration into the global value chain while developing an increasingly independent and self-controlled economy are both a requirement and a solution to help Vietnam overcome the challenges to realise its goal of rapid and sustainable development, according to Party Central Committee and Minister of Industry and Trade Tran Tuan Anh.

The 51st ASEAN Foreign Ministers’ Meeting (AMM 51) ended on August 2 in Singapore with a Joint Communiqué urging the bloc to strengthen its internal strength through increasing intra-bloc trade and investment and regional economic connectivity.
