The Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV)’s leadership role in the ongoing national renewal process is pivotal to the country’s future development, Layton Pike, a member of the Australia-Vietnam Policy Institute (AVPI)'s advisory board, has assessed in an interview with the Vietnam News Agency (VNA)'s resident correspondent in Sydney.

Layton Pike, a member of the Australia-Vietnam Policy Institute (AVPI)'s advisory board, said Vietnam's economic growth in 2024 has far exceeded expectations on the back of export recovery and stable foreign direct investment.

Vietnamese Ambassador to Australia Pham Hung Tam on June 13 received Layton Pike, co-founder of the Australia-Vietnam Policy Institute (AVPI), during which he expressed his hope that it will have important policy contributions to boost the two countries’ cooperation.

The official Vietnam visit by Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese has been a success, a sign that bilateral relationship will continue to flourish in the future, said co-founder of the Australia-Vietnam Policy Institute Layton Pike.

Deputy PM Vuong Dinh Hue received diplomatic representatives of Indonesia, New Zealand, Australia to discuss cooperation in preparation for his upcoming visits to these countries in late July.
