This is the first high-level visit by a Lithuanian head of state to Vietnam in many years, demonstrating the importance both countries attach to their traditional friendship and multifaceted cooperation and also heralding a new chapter for bilateral relations.

On the morning of June 12, at the Presidential Palace, State President Luong Cuong and Spouse hosted a welcome ceremony for President of the Republic of Lithuania Gitanas Nauseda and Spouse on their official visit to Vietnam.

PM Pham Minh Chinh's meetings with French enterprises, Vietnam's participation in the Indo Defence Expo and Forum, and Vietcombank named one of Southeast Asia’s Top 30 Most Valuable Brands in 2024 are among news highlights on June 11 evening.

A highlight of the visit is the Lithuania–Vietnam Business Forum, where President Nausėda will deliver an opening address and convey important messages.
