Myanmar’s second union peace conference reached agreement for most points of five major sectors in its second working session on May 25.

Hanoi (VNA) – Myanmar’🙈ssecond union ♍peace conference reached agreement for most points of five majorsectors in its second workingsession on May 25.  

Participants agreed on 41 points in politics, economy, society,land and environment, the Union PeaceDialogue Joint Committee (UPDJC) told the press. In terms of politics, all participants concurred with the view ofsigning the union agreement, while other sectors also received positive resultswhich will be submitted to the final meeting on May 28. Myanmar’s second union peace conference or the 21st Century PanglongPeace Conference plans to approve 21 deals which were reached during politicalnegotiations between the government and ethnic armed groups.   The Nationwide Cease fire Accord (NCA) is scheduled to be signed duringthe event, which is participated by State Counselor Aung San Suu Kyi, DeputyCommander in chief of Myanamr Armed Forces Soe Win and 15 armed groups, including eightsignatories to the NCA and seven non-signatories. The first conference held in late August, 2016, drew the participation of1,800 representatives, discussing national political dialogue framework to endconflicts between the government’s military and ethnic armed groups in the pastseven decades
