NGO works to heal war wounds in Vietnam

US non-governmental organisation, East Meets West Foundation (EMWF), has received a licence to establish its representative office in Vietnam.
US non-governmental organisation, East Meets West Foundation (EMWF),has received a licence to establish its representative office inVietnam.

EMWF was founded in 1988 with an ambition of healing war wounds between the US and Vietnam .

The organisation assists in the fields of education, health care andrepairing consequences caused by wars by building partnerships,developing opportunities and offering sustainable initiatives.

Major EMWF projects focus on children and the poor, covering 33 cities and provinces across Vietnam .

The foundation plans to invest about 30 million USD in projects in Vietnam during the 2012-2014 period./.
