Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh on July 18 chaired a meeting with heads of Vietnamese representative agencies abroad to discuss the promotion of economic diplomacy to boost the country's economic growth in the second half of 2024 and the following years.

Fourteen countries and territory had recognised the COVID-19 vaccination certificate, also called “vaccine passport”, of Vietnam as of February 16, according to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA).

The State-run Vietnam News Agency (VNA) and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs held a meeting in Hanoi on July 30 between VNA departments and heads of Vietnam’s overseas representative agencies appointed and nominated this year, aiming to improve the efficiency of cooperation in the external information work in the time ahead.

National Assembly (NA) Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan on February 13 received newly accredited ambassadors and heads of overseas representative agencies of Vietnam, asking them to promote economic diplomacy to help with national development.

Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong has expressed high hopes for ambassadors and heads of Vietnam’s overseas representative agencies who, he said, will excellently fulfill the assigned tasks.

The Vietnam Union of Friendship Organisations met new ambassadors and heads of Vietnam’s overseas representative agencies, asking for their greater efforts to help with people-to-people diplomacy.
