Hanoi (VNA) - The third working session of the 12th Party CentralCommittee took place in Hanoi on May 13.
During the plenary session on the morning, the Party Central Committee discussed a direction for the election of deputies to the 15th-tenure National Assembly (NA) and deputies of all-level People’s Councils for the 2021-2026 term.
Politburo memberand NA Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan chaired the session.
In the afternoon, the committee held group discussions on reports 𝓡rev🐈iewing the leadership and directionof the Politburo and Secretariat of the Party Central Committee in 2019./.
The nomination of persons with both talents and ethics to leadership and management positions of the Party and the State is a crucial and decisive task for the country's sustainable development.
Many insiders have said that the people should be trusted and relied upon in the selection of capable and honest officials as the 13th National Party Congress, slated for the first quarter of 2021, is nearing.
Stronger efforts and determination are required to achieve and surpass the set targets, especially in the eradication of makeshift and dilapidated houses nationwide, the acceleration of public investment disbursement, and the implementation of nationally important transport projects, PM Pham Minh Chinh noted.
