Party General Secretary To Lam has urged the Party Central Committee’s Organisation Commission to bolster its advisory role in political system restructuring as preparations for the 14th National Party Congress in 2026 intensify.

Politburo member, permanent member of the Party Central Committee’s Secretariat and head of the Party Central Committee’s Organisation Commission Truong Thi Mai hosted a reception in Hanoi on November 30 for a delegation from the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) led by its Vice Chairman Wang Yong.

The Party Central Committee’s Organisation Commission held a national teleconference on December 29 to review its work in 2022 and put forward tasks for 2023.

The Politburo held a ceremony on April 8 to announce decisions appointing the new heads of the Party Central Committee’s Organisation Commission and Commission for Mass Mobilisation.

The Communist Party of Vietnam has admitted over 143,000 new members in 2019, raising the total membership to around 5.2 million, it was reported at a national online conference reviewing Party building work on December 25.

Vietnam and Finland should enhance collaboration in the fields of renewable energy development, information and technology, education and training, and renovation, said Politburo member and head of the Party Central Committee’s Organisation Commission Pham Minh Chinh.

Japan’s experience in promoting ethics in the public sector was shared at a workshop in Hanoi on March 6.

Politburo member Pham Minh Chinh met Chairman of the House of Councillors of Japan Date Chuichi and Japanese Foreign Minister Taro Kono in Tokyo on August 30.

Japan will continue working closely with Vietnam to effectively conduct projects funded by Japan’s official development assistance (ODA), said Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe
