Vietnamese State President Luong Cuong and Party General Secretary and President of Laos Thongloun Sisoulith held online talks on November 8 to discuss the current situation of the two countries and the bilateral relationship.

The Pathet Lao newspaper and the e-newspaper of the Lao News Agency (KPL) on September 10 ran an article praising the Vietnam-Laos relationship.

A delegation from the Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF) Central Committee and the Vietnam-Laos Friendship Association (VLFA) led by Politburo member and President of the VFF Central Committee Do Van Chien paid a courtesy call to visiting Party General Secretary and President of Laos Thongloun Sisoulith in Hanoi on September 10.

Party General Secretary and President of Laos Thongloun Sisoulith and his spouse left Hanoi on June 29, wrapping up the official friendly visit to Vietnam at the invitation of Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong, State President Nguyen Xuan Phuc and their spouses.
