Police have officially launched probe into five more former leaders of the northern provinces of Phu Tho and Vinh Phuc for alleged involvement in the Phuc Son Group JSC case, authorities said at the Ministry of Public Security (MPS)’s press conference in Hanoi on December 26.

The Party Central Committee (PCC)’s Inspection Commission convened its 48th session in Hanoi on October 1 and 2, discussing wrongdoings by certain collectives and individuals in northern Tuyen Quang and Phu Tho provinces.

The Ministry of Public Security (MPS) on June 1 revealed investigation results of the cases at the Phuc Son Group JSC and Thuan An Group JSC.

The police have officially started legal proceedings against Vice Chairman of the Vinh Phuc provincial People’s Committee Nguyen Van Khuoc and five others for their suspected involvement in the case at the Phuc Son Group JSC, Spokesman of the Ministry of Public Security (MPS) Lt. Gen. To An Xo said on April 23.

The investigation into the case at Phuc Son Group JSC will be expanded, Spokesman of the Ministry of Public Security Lt. Gen. To An Xo affirmed on April 3.
