Project supporting wind power use approved

The Prime Minister has recently approved a project on support for wind power use with a total investment of 7 million EUR from the German Government’s non-refundable official development assistance.
The Prime Minister has recently approved a project on support for windpower use with a total investment of 7 million EUR from the GermanGovernment’s non-refundable official development assistance.

The project will be carried out within four years.

Themain objective of the project is to improve legal framework fordeveloping, boosting and expanding the development scale of wind powerin Vietnam, contributing to achieving the national target on promotingrenewable energy and green growth.

In particularly, it willsupport State agencies to collect data and propose projects when makingdecisions in order to improve the planning process and the legalframework for wind power development in Vietnam.

The project willalso enhance capacities of State agencies from the central to locallevels and the private sector to help wind power develop rapidly.

Technological cooperation and research will be implemented to createopportunities to localise wind power equipment and raise their value.-VNA
