Reference exchange rate continues to go down on September 17

The State Bank of Vietnam set the daily reference exchange rate at 25,198VND/USD on September 17, down 10 VND from the previous day.

Hanoi (VNA) – The State Bank of Vietnam set the daily reference exchange rate at 25,198 VND/USD on September 17, down 10 VND from the previous day.

With the current trading band of +/- 5%, the ceiling rate applicable for commercial banks during the day is 26,458 VND/USD, and the floor rate 23,938 VND/USD.

At 8:30 am, the opening-hour rates at major commercial banks saw decreases.

Vietcombank cut both rates by 11 VND from the September 16 morning session, listing the buying rate at 26,177 VND/USD and the selling rate at 26,457 VND/USD.

Meanwhile, BIDV cut the buying rate by 11 VND to 26,195 VND/USD but increased the selling rate by 7 VND to 26,457 VND/USD./.
