Hanoi (VNA) – Enhancing relations with countries in Asia-Pacific, includingVietnam, is one of priorities of Russia’s foreign policy, Russian AmbassadorKonstantin Vnukov said.

Speakingat a banquet hosted by the Russian Embassy in Hanoi on June 13 to mark Russia’sIndependence Day (June 12), the diplomat described Vietnam as the most time-honouredand trustworthy partner of Russia.

Vietnamand Russia are maintaining regular political dialogues at different levels, hesaid, noting that President Tran Dai Quang will visit Russia in the coming timeand President Vladimir Putin will attend the APEC Economic Leaders’ Meeting inNovember, 2017, in Da Nang city.

Inhis remarks, Minister of Industry and Trade Tran Tuan Anh expressed his hopethat the strategic partnership between Vietnam and Russia will further advancein the time ahead.-VNA
