Member of the Central Military Commission and Deputy Minister of National Defence Sen. Lieut. Gen Hoang Xuan Chien and UK Minister of State for Defence Vernon Coaker co-chaired the fifth Vietnam-UK defence policy dialogue in Hanoi on September 13.

The Ministry of National Defence held a ceremony in Hanoi on February 22 to present the President’s decision to send four military officers to the United Nations (UN) peacekeeping missions in the Central African Republic, South Sudan and Abyei area.

Vietnam always attaches great importance to and prioritises the development of ties with Thailand, and hopes to enhance the bilateral strategic partnership in all fields, including defence, Deputy Minister of National Defence Sen. Lieut. Gen Hoang Xuan Chien told the new Thai attachés in Vietnam.
