Vietnamese Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Le Thi Thu Hang reaffirmed Vietnam’s dedication to consolidating and developing friendship and comprehensive cooperation with Sweden, expressing sincere gratitude to the Swedish Government and people for their invaluable support during Vietnam’s past struggle for independence and in its ongoing development and global integration.

Vietnam’s National Assembly Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan and Speaker of the Swedish parliament Urban Ahlin agreed to enhance their countries’ parliamentary relations during talks in Stockholm on April 6.

The Embassy of Sweden in Vietnam and the Central Vietnam National Hospital of Pediatrics held ceremony on June 2 in Hanoi to place a statue of late Swedish Prime Minister Olof Palme in the hospital.
