Bangkok (VNA) - Two prominent leaders of the United Front for Democracy Against Dictatorship – a political wing of the Red Shirt movement in Thailand – were detained as they were heading🦄 to Rajapakti Park in Prachuab Khiri Khan province꧂, which is at the centre of a corruption scandal.

According to the Thai media, the pair, Jatuporn Prompan and Nattawut Saikuar, were arrested by uniformed army officials while making a stop in Mahachai, Samut Songkram province en route to the park.
Both said earlier they would visit Rajapakti Park, where reports suggested possible corruption in a construction project.
On November 27, the Thai military administration accused several Red Shirt members of being behind an alleged scheme to cause chaos in the capital during the Loy Krathong Festival and the “Bike for Dad” event. The police said planned attacks targeted Prime Minister Prayut Chan-ocha.-VNA
