A State funeral for former Politburo member and former State President Tran Duc Luong was held at the National Funeral Hall in Hanoi on May 24 morning with the national mourning etiquette.

A respect-paying ceremony in the national mourning etiquette was solemnly held for General Secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam Central Committee Nguyen Phu Trong at the National Funeral Hall in Hanoi, the Thong Nhat Hall in Ho Chi Minh City, and his hometown in Dong Hoi commune, Dong Anh district, Hanoi, on July 25.

Many delegations of foreign parties, States and Governments, and representatives of international organisations in Vietnam came to pay last respects to President Tran Dai Quang at the National Funeral Hall in Hanoi on September 26.

A memorial service for former Politburo member and former Prime Minister Phan Van Khai took place at Thong Nhat Hall in Ho Chi Minh City and International Convention Centre in Hanoi on March 22.

The funeral for former Prime Minister Phan Van Khai who passed away in Ho Chi Minh City on March 17 started at 8am on March 20 at the city’s Thong Nhat Hall.

Two visitor information and support centres began operation at the Bach Dang Wharf and 23/9 Parks in Ho Chi Minh City on August 2.
