The central province of Thua Thien-Hue attracted 11 investment projects worth nearly 2 trillion VND (87.5 million USD) in the first five months of 2018.
Thua Thien-Hue (VNA) – The centralprovince of Thua Thien-Hue attracted 11 investment projects worth nearly 2trillion VND (87.5 million USD) in the first five months of 2018.
The figure has raised the total number ofinvestment projects in the province to 151 with registered capital of 72.3trillion VND (3.1 billion USD), including 36 foreign-invested ones withregistered capital of more than 31.2 trillion VND.
Major projects include the Laguna – Lang Coproject worth 2 billion USD invested by Banyan Tree Group and a solar powerplant worth 1.15 trillion VND of Doan Son Thuy Investment Joint Stock Company.
Tourism is a strong field of Thua Thien-Hue that draws themost investment at present.
To lure more investors, the locality will createa favourable environment for businesses and prioritise financial resources for infrastructure.
Local authorities will also work to ensure economic growth, environmentalprotection and social affairs, and address marine environmental incidents.
The province will spend more than 2 trillion VNDto implement key programmes on developing economic and technical infrastructureand industry in 2018 while improving infrastructure and services.
It moves to improve the vocational training system and push administrativereforms by promoting the one-stop-shop mechanism, ensuring more than 80 percentof businesses and people are satisfied with the settlement of administrativeprocedures.-VNA
