Top legislator chairs fifth conference of NA Party Committee
The conference reviewed reports, discussed and adopted documents and materials, and finalised preparations for the first Congress of the NA Party Organisation for the 2025 – 2030 tenure, following the Politburo’s directions given at its meeting on September 11.

Hanoi (VNA) ꦆ– National Assembly (NA) Chairman Tran Thanh Man, Politburo member and Secretary of the NA Party Committee, chaired the fifth conference of the committee in the 2020 – 2025 tenure in Hanoi on September 13.
The conference reviewed reports, discussed and adopted documents and materials, and finalised preparations for the first Congress of the NA Party Organisation for the 2025 – 2030 tenure, following the Politburo’s directions given at its meeting on September 11. It also continued procedures for nominating personnel of the NA Party Organisation to attend the 14th National Party Congress.
Addressing the event, Chairman Man said the Politburo had acknowledged and highly appreciated the NA Party Committee’s efforts in leading and directing the organisation of congresses at all levels under the NA Party Organisation and in preparing the contents for the first Congress of the NA Party Organisation.
The draft documents and personnel plans had been thoroughly and rigorously prepared in line with regulations and guidelines, reflecting major viewpoints in the draft documents of the 14th National Party Congress, and closely following practical circumstances and lessons learned from the 2020 – 2025 tenure.
The Chairman assigned the Standing Board of the NA Party Committee and its Deputy Secretaries to direct relevant agencies to finalise the documents, issue the notice of meeting, send invitations, and ensure protocol, logistics, and security arrangements for the first Congress of the NA Party Organisation for the 2025 – 2030 tenure.
He stressed that the documents must be carefully reviewed in line with the spirit of guidance from the Party Central Committee, the Politburo, and the Secretariat, and consistent with the draft documents of the 14th National Party Congress.
The top legistlator urged the Deputy Secretaries of the NA Party Committee and sub-committees to complete assigned tasks on schedule to ensure the success of the first Congress of the NA Party Organisation for the 2025 – 2030 tenure./.
Party General Secretary Lam asked the National Assembly Party Committee to strengthen its legislative and constitutional role and see lawmaking work “a breakthrough of breakthroughs” to remove bottlenecks for development.
The NA Chairman stressed that Governor-General Mostyn’s visit marks an important milestone that will add momentum to the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership between the two countries, helping it grow intensively and more substantively.
Vice Chairman of the National Assembly Nguyen Duc Hai expressed his delight at the robust growth of bilateral ties, with political, diplomatic, economic, trade and investment relations serving as key pillars. He reaffirmed the Party and State’s high regard for the overseas Vietnamese, including those in the US, whose contributions have helped strengthen the bilateral cooperation.
President Cuong described the academy as a shining example in scientific research, strategic advice provision, theory development, and enhancing the leadership, direction, and management capacity of the Party and State in national defence and security, helping to build the military, strengthen national defence, protect the Fatherland early and from afar, maintain political and social stability, and lay a solid foundation for the national construction and defence cause.
To meet demands for accurate, comprehensive, objective, rich, and dynamic information on the 14th National Party Congress, the Vietnam News Agency will continue equipping the website with new features and regularly update news and data, supporting the effective popularisation of this key political event.

Thang emphasised that the 80th anniversary is not only a time for reflection but also a pledge for the future, with Vietnam aiming to become a developed and prosperous nation by 2045.
The Party chief stressed that improving digital literacy for officials, civil servants and the public must be considered a core task, closely linked with administrative reform and socio-economic development.
