The Vietnamese cuisine and cultural exchange festival is currently underway in Kuala Lumpur, featuring over 100 food stalls that showcase the culinary delights of Vietnam’s three regions to international and Malaysian friends.

Ties between Vietnam and Malaysia have grown strongly over the past 50 years since the establishment of diplomatic relations with substantial outcomes in all fields, stated Chairman of the National Assembly Committee for External Relations Vu Hai Ha.

Vietnam and Malaysia will make new strides in their relations under the cabinet of new Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim, said Collins Chong Yew Keat, lecturer of the University of Malaysia.

Vietnam and Malaysia have effectively cooperated in many fields in recent years, said Vietnamese Ambassador to Malaysia Le Quy Quynh in an inclusive interview with Bernama.

Vietnam and Malaysia on August 28 issued a joint statement on the occasion of the official visit to Vietnam from August 26-28 by Malaysian Prime Minister Mahathir Mohamad at the invitation of Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc.
