Vietnam jump to 136th in FIFA rankings

Vietnam have jumped six places to 136th in the International Federation of Football Association's (FIFA) rankings for October, despite not playing any matches last month.

The Philippines jumpfive places to 129th and are now the highest ranked team in theSoutheast Asian region, followed by Vietnam, and Myanmar at 137th.

Notably, Laos climb 15 spots to 154th, and Cambodia move up 14 slots to185th. Meanwhile, Thailand drop seven places to 165th and are rankedeighth in the region.

In Asia, Vietnam are ranked 20th, while the top three teams are Iran, Japan and Uzbekistan.

Germany still lead the world rankings, followed by Argentina and Colombia.

The next FIFA rankings will be announced on November 27.-VNA
