Vietnam, Laos, Cambodia courts promote cooperation

The courts of Vietnam, Laos and Cambodia have agreed to increase the sharing of experience in preventing and fighting crimes by improving knowledge on legal issues and judgment in each country.

The agreement was reached during the third court conference betweenborder provinces of Vietnam, Laos and Cambodia, which wrapped upin the Lao capital of Vientiane on December 26 after two days ofsitting.

The conference issued a joint statement emphasising theneed for the three countries to join hands in seeking measures toprevent cross-border crimes and boost mutually beneficial collaborationin line with their laws as well as international practice.

Overthe past time, the nations signed bilateral treaties related to crimeprevention, which are considered an important tool for their courts toperform tasks.-VNA
