With positive results recorded in the first nine months of 2024 and efforts of businesses, experts are optimistic about the country’s bright export prospects in the rest of the year towards a historical record of 400 billion USD.

Import-export turnover in January recorded a high increase compared to the same period last year, mainly thanks to Samsung speeding up its exports of new smartphone model S21.

Vietnam posted a total export value of 194.3 billion USD in the first nine months of this year. Of the export staples, five commodities registered an export value of over 10 billion USD.

Vietnam is likely to reach a total export turnover of 200 billion USD for the whole year, surging over 13 percent from last year and exceeding the set target, Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade Do Thang Hai affirmed at the regular meeting held in Hanoi on July 14.
