The new battery-swapping models are designed with dual storage compartments, allowing easy installation and replacement of batteries at public stations. Each battery has a capacity of 1.5 kWh, enabling a maximum range of 85 km under standard conditions. Customers may rent one or two batteries at a monthly fee of 200,000 VND per battery, with each swap costing 9,000 VND, inclusive of charging costs. VinFast said this represents a more economical solution compared to petrol expenses for the same distance. Alongside the swapping models, VinFast will continue offering battery-included versions for customers who prefer full ownership and home charging. Users may also choose rental versions with the flexibility to charge the batteries themselves, depending on their needs./.
