An exhibition on Mother Goddess Worship and performance of Hau Dong Trance Ritual was opened in Hanoi on June 7, contributing to promoting the nation's traditional culture.

In Vietnamese people’s belief of worshipping the Mother Goddesses, Mau Lieu Hanh (Mother Goddess Lieu Hanh) is the supreme spirit at the top of the pantheon. Lieu Hanh is also the only female figure in the “Tu Bat Tu” (Four Immortals) of Vietnamese people in the Red River Delta.

The live entertainment show “The Quintessence of Tonkin” recently won the Gold Stevie Award for Innovation in Media, Visual Communications & Entertainment, beating projects from all over Asia.

A festival featuring the worship of Mother Goddesses will bring many folk artists from across the nation to Hanoi on November 9-13.

A lacquer painting exhibition featuring the Vietnamese practices related to belief in Mother Goddesses is taking place in Hanoi’s Fine Arts Museum.
