100 companies attend SecuTech Vietnam 2009

One hundred companies from 13 countries and territories are participating in the Security Technology Exhibition Vietnam 2009 (SecuTech Vietnam 2009) in Ho Chi Minh City.
One hundred companies from 13 countriesand territories are participating in the Security Technology ExhibitionVietnam 2009 (SecuTech Vietnam 2009) in Ho Chi Minh City.

More than 500 security and fire safety products are on display duringthe three-day exhibition beginning of September 17, including latestproducts of internationally famous trade brands, such as Axis,Panasonic, Sony, Kocom, Vivotek, and Samsung.

This is the second exhibition of its kind and is organised by A&Sgroup, the Vietnam Trade Fair Company (Vietfair) and the Asian andVietnamese professional security associations.

During the SecuTech 2009, Vietnam will also hold four forums and 20seminars on global digital surveillance, intelligently managingsecurity surveillance, bank security solutions, as well as fire safetyand other safety issues./.

The networks bring together universities, research institutes and domestic and foreign businesses. Members will work closely in training, research, and technology transfer by sharing curricula, improving faculty capacity, providing access to laboratories and research facilities, and jointly implementing science and technology projects.

Vietnam is actively yet cautiously preparing for the construction of its first nuclear power plant in Ninh Thuan (now the south-central coastal province of Khanh Hoa). The resumption of the programme after years of suspension carries considerable significance for the nation’s development in a new era as it strives to gradually reduce and ultimately phase out coal-fired power to realise the Government’s commitment to Net Zero by 2050.

Vietnam has issued many key policies to support semiconductor development, notably the Politburo’s Resolution 57 on science, technology, innovation, and digital transformation. Other initiatives include the Semiconductor Industry Development Strategy to 2030, with a vision to 2050, and the Human Resources Development Programme for the Semiconductor Industry.
