Hanoi (VNA) – The 14th National Assembly plans to organise its second session from October 20 to November 18, according to the NA Standing Committee﷽ at its second meeting on August 16.

At the second session, the law-making body will discuss and pass four bills and one draft resolution and comment on 14 other law projects.
To prepare for the quality of the bills, NA Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan agreed to a proposal pertaining to the organisation of a conference of full-time legislators to debate several crucial law projects. She also stressed the need to ensure the prompt delivery of prepared documents to deputies before the session as requested by law.
The documents will be supplemented with reports of public concerns, including the settlement of Formosa incident consequences and the monitoring of industrial development in four central provinces, she said. She suggested the debut of a group of female parliamentarians and a group of friendship parliamentarians with other countries at the second session. During the two-day meeting, the NA Standing Committee also reviewed the outcomes of its first meeting.-VNA
