Hanoi (VNA) –The 15th-tenure National Assembly (NA) will open the third sessionin Hanoi on May 23 morning.
Prior to the opening, Party, State, andVietnam Fatherland Front leaders, along with NA deputies, will pay tribute tolate President Ho Chi Minh at his mausoleum.
Later, the parliament will hold apreparatory meeting during which lawmakers will consider and vote on the thirdsession’s agenda.
The session will officially kick offright after that, and this opening sitting will be broadcast live on Radio theVoice of Vietnam, Vietnam Television, and the NA Television channels./.
President Nguyen Xuan Phuc and other National Assembly (NA) deputies of Ho Chi Minh City met with voters of Hoc Mon and Cu Chi districts and Thu Duc city on May 11, ahead of the 15th-tenure parliament’s third session.
Voters in Hanoi presented their views on the necessity to amend the Land Law to improve the efficiency of land management and use, and deal with corruption in this field, during a meeting with Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong on May 12.
President Nguyen Xuan Phuc and the Ho Chi Minh City delegation of National Assembly (NA) deputies met voters in the city's Districts 5, 8 and 11 to listen to their opinions and requests ahead of the third plenary session of the 15th NA.
The National Assembly (NA) Standing Committee’s 11th session closed on May 13 after three days of sitting, scrutinising socio-economic reports, allocation of State budget in 2021 - 2025, and investment plans for highway construction projects.
The third session of the 15th National Assembly will open on May 23 in Hanoi and last for 19 days, according to Vice Chairman of the NA Office Vu Minh Tuan.

During the negotiations, the US highly evaluated Vietnam’s goodwill and efforts, affirmed its appreciation for the bilateral relationship, acknowledged Vietnam’s proposals and concerns, and considered these an important basis for continuing discussions and moving towards a final agreement.
