The National Fund for Vietnamese Children (NFVC) recently received 1.8 billion VND (79,200 USD) raised from the Singapore-Vietnam friendship charity run to build facilities at Sinh Long primary school’s establishment in La village, Na Hang district, the northern mountainous province of Tuyen Quang.

Hanoi (VNA) – The National Fund for Vietnamese Children (NFVC)recently received 1.8 billion VND (79,200 USD) raised from theSingapore-Vietnam friendship charity run to build facilities at Sinh Longprimary school’s establishment in La village, Na Hang district, the northernmountainous province of Tuyen Quang.

The information was announced by the NFVC on January 28.

The friendship run is the first event organised by the Singaporean Embassy inVietnam to kick off an array of activities in 2018 to mark 45th anniversary ofthe diplomatic ties between the two countries.

In the past years, both sides have enjoyed sound cooperation in the fields ofpolitics, economy and culture.-VNA

“I Love My Country” media campaign launched

Running from August 4 to September 2, under the hashtag #TuHaoVietNam, the campaign invites participants in two categories: “I Love My Country” video clips and “I Love My Country” check-in photos.

With a tight 13-month deadline, the move is under a strategic and urgent policy to bridge educational gaps, train the local workforce, and shore up territorial sovereignty in some of the country’s most remote areas.
