Hanoi (VNA) - The Asian Football Confederation (AFC) has congratulated the Vietnam Football Federati🃏on (VFF) and the Vietnamese women’s national♛ team for topping Group E and qualifying for the AFC Women’s Asian Cup 2026 in Australia.

In a letter sent to VFF, the AFC praised the team’s strong determination throughout the qualifiers and highlighted their achievement in securing a spot at the continental tournament.
The confederation also commended Vietnam’s efforts in organising the Group E qualifiers, held from June 29 to July 5 in Viet Tri, Phu Tho province. The AFC acknowledged the professionalism and dedication of both VFF and the local organising committee, describing their work as exemplary. The AFC expressed its thanks for the warm hospitality extended to AFC officials and participating teams during the tournament. The AFC concluded by wishing the Vietnamese team success in the final round, set to take place in March 2026./.
