Agricultural fair sees contracts valued at 300 bln VND

A batch of agreements and transactions worth nearly 300 billion VND (roughly 14.4 million USD) was reached during the International Agricultural Fair that closed in the Mekong Delta city of Can Tho on Dec. 12.
A batch of agreements and transactions worth nearly 300 billion VND(roughly 14.4 million USD) was reached during the InternationalAgricultural Fair that closed in the Mekong Delta city of Can Thoon Dec. 12.

The agreements mostly focus on machine purchasing by domestic food companies.

On the occasion, the Mekong Delta Rice Research Institute, Can ThoUniversity and the provincial Department of Agriculture and RuralDevelopment organised a programme to provide consultation for nearly2,000 farmers on how to cultivate, harvest and preserve agriculturalproducts.

The organisation board also presented 12 goldmedals to products of high quality and a total financial aid worth 50million VND to ten farming households.

The week-long fairattracted the participation of more than 270 domestic and foreignbusinesses from Thailand, China, India, the US, Japan, theRepublic of Korea and Singapore.

Products on display at560 booths included machinery, production lines for processing andpreserving agricultural products, as well as animal feed, seafood, rice,vegetables and fruit, animals, fertilisers and pesticides./.

Under a draft to amend and supplement the Government's Decree 125/2020/ND-CP on administrative sanctions for violations of tax and invoice regulations, the Ministry of Finance has proposed classifying the failure to issue invoices into five different levels. Infraction levels will correspond to fines of 1 million VND to 80 million VND, depending on the nature and number of invoicing violations.
