Founded inthe 1926 in Tay Ninh province, the Cao Dai religion worships the DivineEye, known as the eye of heaven and a symbol of its supreme being. CaoDai’s doctrine honours the Divine and the miraculous quality of supremespirits, and considers them as the means for human beings to unify withthe God. It is now the third largest religion in Vietnam with over46,000 followers nationwide.
The yearly “Le Via DucChi Ton” ritual reminds followers of their origin, fosters their love totheir homeland and encourages them to live an honest life.
