ASEAN senior officials have expressed the confidence that the draftof the Post-2015 Economic Vision and Plan will be completed by mid-2015.
The officials gathered for the 8th Meeting ofHigh-Level Task Force on ASEAN Economic Integration, which is beingheld from February 27 to March 1 in Kota Baharu, Malaysia.
Speaking to reporters on the sidelines of the meeting, MalaysianInternational Trade and Industry Deputy Secretary-General Mohd RizalSheriff said the draft will contain a new and bold plan to chart thedirection for deeper regional integration for the 2016-2025 period.
H e said the discussion on preparing the draft work went welland the commitments from 10 member countries were very strong.
He expressed his hope that final draft document will be ready forinternal perusal before being announced by the leaders in November.
Mohd Rizal, who also chairs the meeting, said the draft will bescrutinised further across the board by various sectoral groups,including aviation and transport.-VNA
