Association to boost Vietnam-Hungary relations

The executive committee of the Vietnam-Hungary Friendship Association of Hanoi gathered for consultation in the capital city on Nov. 28 to discuss activities for the 2009-2014 term.

The consultation meeting was attended by theHungarian Ambassador to Vietnam , Vizi Laszlo, and 21 members of the executivecommittee.

Participants determined to step up exchanges of economic,cultural and education information amongst friendship and humanitarianorganisations of the two sides as well as between the two capital cities and twocountries in the future.

This is expected to encourage organisations andbusinesses of all economic sectors in Vietnam and Hungary to partner,contributing to socio-economic development of the two countries.

Theassociation will organise cultural and sports programmes as well as trade andscience workshops to promote mutual understanding between the people of Hanoiand Budapest in particular and people of Vietnam and Hungary ingeneral.

The Vietnam-Hungary Friendship Association of Hanoi nowcomprises nine branches that operate within the business circle, schools, mediaagencies and social organisations, with a total 317 members.

Theassociation has over the recent past actively engaged in friendship and exchangeactivities, making a significant contribution to improving the city’speople-to-people diplomacy./.
