Azerbaijan helps build school in mountainous province

A primary school built with funds from Azerbaijan’s Heydar Aliyev Foundation has been inaugurated in Giap Trung commune in the northern mountainous province of Ha Giang.

Ha Giang (VNA) - A primary schoolbuilt with funds from Azerbaijan’s Heydar Aliyev Foundation has been inaugurated in Giap Trung commune in the northern mountainous province of HaGiang.

The financial assistance helped build twoclassrooms and two teachers’ room for the school which accommodates 98 primaryand secondary school kids in the commune.

Emphasising the close historical ties betweenAzerbaijan and Vietnam, Azerbaijani Ambassador to Vietnam Anar Imanov said thebuilding of the school reflected the importance of the relationship withVietnam.

According to the ambassador, the Heydar AliyevFoundation, chaired by First Vice President of Azerbaijan Meriban Aliyeva hasrun many social projects in Azerbaijan and abroad. The school project is thefirst kind of its in Ha Giang.

Vice Chairman of the provincial People’sCommittee Tran Quy Duc said with improved learning conditions, the teachers andstudents of the school can make full use of the facilities to better theirstudies and become good citizens.

Talented students can also take this opportunityto learn foreign languages to receive scholarships to continue their studyin Azerbaijan, he said.-VNA
