Ba Ria-Vung Tau border guards raid drug trafficking ring
The border guard force of the southern province of Ba Ria-Vung Tau has raided a drug trafficking ring, arresting eight suspects and seizing 40 grams of methamphetamine.

Ba Ria-Vung Tau (VNA) – The border guard force ofthe southern province of Ba Ria-Vung Tau has raided a drug trafficking ring, arrestingeight suspects and seizing 40 grams of methamphetamine.
Pham Van Hue, 35, was arrested on May 29 at Phuoc Tinhcommune, Long Dien district for allegedly storing eight packages of crystal meth.
Expanding investigations, the force claims that Duong ThuyLinh and Le Thi Hanh, both residing in Phuong Hung commune of Long Diendistrict, had possession of a total of three packages of crystal meth.
From Linh and Hanh’s confessions, the force arrested LamQuoc Nhon, 21, residing in Phuong Hung commune of Long Dien district, reportedlywho gave the drugs to Linh and Hanh to sell.
Other suspects of the cases – Le Duc Thanh, 35, Tran KhaiHoan, 31, Nguyen The Hung, 27 and his girlfriend Hoang Thi Yen Lan, 22, werealso arrested the same day for alleged possession of 12 other packages of drug.
Police in the northern mountainous province of Son La arrested a suspect illegally transporting nearly 6.5 kilogrammes of heroin in Long Luong commune, Van Ho district, on April 17.
Police busted many drug trafficking rings in the first quarter of 2019, seizing over 6 tonnes of drugs – higher than the amount seized last year and tripling that in 2017.
