Banquet marks Vietnam People’s Army Day

Addressing the event, Deputy Defence Minister Sen. Lieut. Gen. NguyenChi Vinh thanked international friends for their support to the VietnamPeople’s Army over the past time.

He especially highlightedcontributions made by diplomatic corps and foreign military attaches inVietnam to promoting the friendship, cooperation, and mutualunderstanding and trust between the Vietnamese Defence Ministry and theVietnam People’s Army with the defence ministries and armies in othercountries.

Vinh voiced his hope that the collaboration willbe further consolidated, benefiting peace, stability, cooperation anddevelopment in the region and the world as a whole.

Australian defence attaché in Vietnam Matthew Dudley, who is also headof the foreign military attaché delegation in Vietnam , congratulatedthe Vietnam’s People Army for the achievements the army hasattained during the struggle for independence, freedom and nationalreunification as well as the present cause of national construction andprotection.

He described Vietnam ’s upcomingparticipation in the United Nations peace-keeping missions as meaningfulto peace and stability in the region and the world.-VNA

Running from August 4 to September 2, under the hashtag #TuHaoVietNam, the campaign invites participants in two categories: “I Love My Country” video clips and “I Love My Country” check-in photos.

With a tight 13-month deadline, the move is under a strategic and urgent policy to bridge educational gaps, train the local workforce, and shore up territorial sovereignty in some of the country’s most remote areas.
